The airline's home port and its main transit hub is Sir Sivusagar Ramgoolam International Airport in Port Louis. 51 percent of the ownership of Air Mauritius belongs to the holding company "Air Mauritius Holdings Ltd.", the majority part in the management of which, in turn, is occupied by the Government of Mauritius. The airlines are fully owned by commercial companies "Airmate Ltd.", "Air Mauritius Holidays (Pty) Ltd. Australia", "Air Mauritius SA (Proprietary) Ltd.", "Mauritius Holidays Ltd." (UK) and "Mauritius Helicopters Ltd."; as well as 93.7% ownership of "Mauritius Estate Development Corporation Ltd.", 54.2% of "Pointe Coton Resort Hotel Company Ltd." and 41.7% of "Mauritius Shopping Paradise Company Ltd.".
